Fete de la Musique 20o7

Fri Jun 22, 2007, 5:50 AM
In over 120 countries worldwide, thousands of musicians gather to spread the love in the sonic parliament of the streets. Multi-genre, multi-lingual, Fete Dela Musique is the ultimate street music festival in the universe.

After giving it a lot of thought and asking advice from our trusted friends and even loyal readers, we're proud of the fact that PULP Magazine, the same group which brings the country's biggest rock show The PULP Summer Slam to the country every year (with an average attendance of 25,000-plus rock fans...) is playing the main part in this year's Fete Dela Musique. Why? Because we feel we know how to put on a great show- an impressive sound and lights system, a great stage, enough security and great deals for all you music fans out there.

And we're very honored to handle this much-loved tradition - happening this June 23rd in Malate Manila - because we know it's no joke to be tasked to gather as much artists from as many genres possible to play on four separate stages in just one night. But we've accepted the challenge, and we're very excited this year since we're mainly giving a lot of amateur bands, oozing with potential, the chance to take the stage and show us their stuff, alongside the biggest names in the music industry. Imagine a COMPLETE music festival where you can catch the punishing sounds of underground heavy metal champs Sin and enjoy the jazzy licks of Johnny Alegre. Or catch an energetic display of talent from ska band Spaceflower Show, right after bumping and grinding to the hip-hop of Dice & K9. "Too good to be true," you say? Then we dare you to check it out for yourself, lads and lasses.
